Dianna Shyne

Nov 11 - 15, 2019; Workshop 1: The first workshop called "Splat!" would review some basics of planning through value studies, colour harmony and composition; but quickly moves on to an intermediate level that allows for exploration of edges, diversion from the reference for an interesting composition, and knowing when to stop so that it remains spontaneous.  Dianna will add in a slide lecture: "How to See Like an Artist".

Nov 18 - 22, 2019; Workshop 2: called "Near and Far" provides 12 tools for creating depth and atmospheric distance in your paintings.  These tools are effective whether you want to paint realistic, landscape, still life, cartoon or abstract.  Most teachers present perspective and depth as a math problem; Dianna presents it as the logical way that artists see. There are 2 slide lectures that will also be included.  For intermediate to advanced students.
